| | Premold Corp Leads Panel Discussions at MDM WEST - Outsourcing
On 11 Feb, 2010 Doug Culbertson, VP of Business Development for Premold Corp. led a discussion panel at the MDM West tradeshow in Anaheim, CA. The seven-member panel included industry leaders in industrial design, mechanical design, software design, manufacturing, purchasing and contract assembly. They discussed the currently hot topic of how OEM's outsource these functions. Coordinating the project work of these traditional team members is more challenging when the work is performed by outside vendors.
Attendees of the seminar heard these experts describe some of the most effective ways to manage outsourced projects. Panel members described the pros and cons of various management techniques and what worked best with their areas of specialty. Case studies were also reviewed. In addition, attendees were able to ask questions specific to their projects and get advice from these experts.
Mr. Culbertson led a similar discussion panel at the MDM Minneapolis show in 2009. Both seminars were well received for content and presentation style.
